Data Processing Addendum

This Data Processing Addendum (DPA) describes how we process personal data on behalf of business customers who use Skills Tech Workspace. It forms part of our agreement with the customer. A countersigned copy is available to customers on request at support@skillstechtalk.com.
Roles
For personal data a customer submits through the Services, the customer is the data controller and Skills Tech Talk, LLC is the data processor. We process that data only on the customer's documented instructions, which include using the Services as configured by the customer.
Scope and purpose
We process account and identity references, team and seat structure, entitlement metadata, and Proof Portfolio records, solely to provide, secure, and support the Services. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Sub-processors
The customer authorizes us to engage the sub-processors listed on our sub-processors page. We remain responsible for their performance, and we will give notice of changes so the customer can object on reasonable grounds.
Security
We maintain technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, described on our security page, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, least-privilege access, and secret management.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms, including the applicable standard contractual clauses, as required.
Data subject requests and breach notice
We assist the customer in responding to data subject requests and, where our systems are involved, in meeting the customer's breach-notification obligations. We notify the customer without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting their data.
Deletion and return
On termination, we delete or return personal data as the customer directs, subject to retention required by law. Proof Portfolio records belong to the individual user and can be exported or deleted by that user at any time.
